Corpse Bride is terrific--funnier and more moving than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, more coherent and of a piece. What makes it interesting is Burton's attitude towards the bride...which seems to be a common thread in his attitude towards girlfriend Helena's role in his films, all the way from Planet of the Apes.
